Current Sensor Installation

A current sensor is a great addition to the dryer booster fans in your home, apartment or condo. The unit senses as soon as your clothes dryer draws more than 1 amp of current. It automatically turns on the booster fan, eliminating additional sensors, switches or speed controls. When the current frop below the pre-set 2-amp threshold, the Con-Cur booster fan control automatically shuts off the booster fan.
The Con-Cur booster fan control can be installed in three ways:
- INSIDE DRYER
- Mount the Con-Cur current sensor in convenient location inside dryer connection compartment.
- Disconnect and loop neutral (white) dryer power supply wire through current sensor cut-out, then reconnect.
- Connect fan 120v-AC power supply to top (relay) terminals of Con-Cur Control.
- AT DRYER JUNCTION BOX
- Attach electrical junction box to dryer hunction box.
- Disconnect and loop neutral (white) dryer power supply wire through current sensor cut junction box and re-connect.
- Mount Con-Cur current sensor in electrical box (May require drilling 2 mounting holes).
- Connect fan 120v-AC power supply to top (relay) terminals of Con-Cur Control.
- AT BREAKER
- Mount Con-Cur current sensor in convenient location on fuse/breaker panel.
- Disconnect and lopp neutral (white) dryer power supply wire through current sensor cut.
